This team has player from different countries mainly Scotland, Germany, Japan, China, Spain, Papua New guinea and New Zealand, but most of palyers are from Nepal and Bhutan. The team has different level of players from age to quality of game.

Last year, Nepali-Gorkhali Team has joined Sunday Soccer League at Canterbury on fifth division. The team was sponsored by a company, JANI-KING, New Zealand. The company has offered a full set of football gear including new sets of Jersey, track suit etc. NNZFS society would like to pay sincere gratitude to the company and owner for their help and at the same time the society believes that this will bring a team to a new height.

In spite of the league the team has practiced football game every Sunday at Jellie Park, Bryndwr after 3:00PM.

Running club was started from beginning of October 2008. It was on every Sunday morning at 11.00 AM on South Hagley Park. Everyone enjoyed outdoor running and/or walking and fresh air. Some of the members were regular and actively involved.  We did six months training and completed City to Surf 2009 (12 kms run). We are planning to have more participants (including children) for the year 2010.
